“You Do Not Have To Lift A Finger To Make It So”
Often times when talking about their manifestations, people who had successfully used their imagination to manifest something tell you you don’t have to lift a finger to make it so. I find that this often confuses newbies. It makes them think that they literally have to lay in their bed the entire day and imagine. While I understand why you would think that, I would like to clarify it a little bit.
The confusion starts when people are new to these concepts. Most of us are so used to having to “work hard” in order to achieve something, it seems unrealistic when we first hear that we do not have to lift a finger to bring something into being. We do not have to take any actions to fulfill our desires.
You were given two great gifts – the gift of speech and the gift of mind. You can use these two gifts to turn your life into hell or you can use these two magnificent gifts to turn your life into your dream life.
You can use your mind either way. It is completely up to you. However, most people who find out about The Law do decide to test it and see what they can achieve with it. This then means that they also have to accept that the concept of “working hard” that they have been brought up on is false.
Everything can come to you easily and effortlessly. That is what we are aiming for with deliberate manifesting. As soon as we start exerting, we start creating resistance. We become obsessed with the thing we want to manifest and we become impatient. We aren’t living in the end. We are judging our power based on what is appearing in the external world without realizing that that is the product of our past thoughts and beliefs.
We start reading success stories from other people and most of them tell us they didn’t have to lift a finger to get their desire. They did their imaginal acts and persisted in the feeling of the wish fulfilled. They didn’t let the external world affect them. They persisted until the things they desired manifested into their external world.
Yet, we were brought up to believe that working hard gets us to where we want to be. WRONG. All the things that you have now, all the things that you ever had, they were all GIVEN to you. Did you have to work hard to get your best friend to be your best friend? Did you have to work hard to get your parents to be your parents? Of course, there are things that could actually fall into this category, such as working hard brings you money that you need to buy that Mercedes or Tesla. But that’s only because you believe so! Who’s to say you won’t receive a message from Elon Musk tomorrow, offering you his own Tesla for free? 🤪
However, that last example I just mentioned is devising the means. This is exactly what we are asked not to do. And this is where the confusion about “You do not have to lift a finger to make it so” concept comes into play.
You see, it’s not that you do not have to do absolutely anything. That’s a blatant lie. Clearly you need to set your intention, do your imaginal act, persist in the feeling of the wish fulfilled. So why do people say you do not have to lift a finger to make it come to pass?
Because you don’t have to lift a finger. It looks like I just contradicted myself, no? But this is what I mean when I say this: you do not have to figure out which action to take in order to bring something into life. All that is asked of you is that you believe that you have already received your desire. That is literally all you need to do.
If you want to be a millionaire, you simply believe that you are a millionaire. You do not go out of your way to quit your job, find a better one, sell everything you own etc. You simply believe you already have the money.
If you want to be married to a specific person, you simply believe that you are already married to that specific person. You do not have to go and propose to them right now. You simply believe you are already married to them.
If you want to have a clear skin, you simply believe that you have it. You don’t go and buy all the newest products that promise to clear your skin. You look in the mirror and thank the God that your skin is clear.
So, you see, when people tell you you do not have to lift a finger to make it come to pass, they are talking about the actions that you could take in your external world to make things come to pass. You do not have to figure this out. You do not have to figure out which action you need to take in order to make something to come to pass. It’s up to God. You simply allow your subconscious to guide you.
You still need to do the “work” in your imagination. You need to believe. You need to find a way to produce the feeling of the wish fulfilled. However, you do not have to overthink or even think about the process. And if any action will be required of you, you will be guided to it. The trick here is that you probably won’t even know why you feel compelled to do a certain thing in that moment but when you receive your desire and look back, you will see that it brought you where you are now.
I hope this clarifies it a little bit.
